Hasta La Motion!

2013 Reel for Amsterdam based Woodwork, a creative film, animation and design studio carved out of the idea that digital and analog can work together harmoniously. Founded with a passion for motion graphics and live action, Woodwork maintains a design-led, hands on approach to everything they do.

Cut&Paste founder John Fiorelli and HP presented just a few weeks ago London’s Hero, an new digital event featuring six of London’s best animation studios. In collaboration with Blackmeal, Mummu, Fred & Eric, Animade, Territory, and Golden Wolf, the animation project facilitated the studios working to tell the story of London’s newest superhero.

From 26 September to 15 October, each team worked sequentially, animating a ten-second portion representing a different life stage – baby, child, teen, adult, midlife, senior – and stitching each clip together.

All animators threw down at ZED, HP’s Pop-Up Studio for Creatives, using HP’s Z820 workstations and endless coffee & beer.

At the end of it each member of the participating studio teams received an HP ElitePad Windows tablet. Sweet!

Which City would be the next Hero?!

The New America from Portland based Nando Costa. Each frame of this short was laser engraveded and the project was funded via Kickstarter.

This incredible work entitled “Legend of Damocles” is the new cinematic created by Platige Image for the game “RYSE – Son of Rome” developed by CRYTEK.
