HDRI/Environment lighting?
Posted in: NUKE from The FoundryI’ve never attempted any kind of HDR or environment lighting before and am really interested in getting stuck in now as I’m starting do work more and more with 3D objects in Nuke.
To clarify, I have absolutely no idea how to successfully build an environment lit scene as of yet.
I recently spotted an application called http://www.hdrlightstudio.com/, which looks incredible!
Perhaps I’m barking up the wrong tree here, but it looks to offer a great way to build your lighting system externally with or without HDRIs, and then export an EXR or HDRI to bring into (in my case) Nuke to use as an environment light map perhaps?
However, even if this package does exactly that and is perfect for my needs, unfortunately it’s Windows only. and I’m a Mac guy
If anyone has any advice as to what work flow I could adopt to start learning about environment lighting, I would be eternally grateful.
Many many many thanks in advance!
