NEW 4KAY STORY POST: Stereoscopic 3D Finishing with Autodesk Smoke – PART 3
Posted in: Inferno - Flame - FlintI hope that you have all had a great week in post!
I have posted a new vlog to the 4Kay Story: Stereoscopic 3D Finishing with Autodesk Smoke – PART 3
This video is all about compositing in Stereoscopic 3D with Autodesk Smoke’s main 3D compositor, Action.
You will see the fundamentals of Stereoscopic 3D compositing in Smoke. *Hopefully this will stimulate your creative juices for what you can*pull off with Stereoscopic 3D and Smoke.
The great thing is if you already know how to use Action, you*dont have to re-learn every single compositing tool*in order to do Stereoscopic 3D compositing. *You simply use Stereoscopic tools such as stereo objects and a stereoscopic camera*rig and work in a familiar environment. *Actions real 3D*environment provides the*3D*space you need*to create 3D depth when viewed through the stereoscopic camera rig. *You have*a lot of control and creative potential when working on stereoscopic 3D projects in Action, with the ability to mix regular footage, lighting, lens flares & rays, cameras etc.

Don’t forget your anaglyph glasses!!!
Remember you can also see part 1 and part 2 if you missed them earlier!
Next week will be the final video in the Stereoscopic 3D training series. **
*
We will take a look at converting an*existing*normal*3D composite into a stereoscopic 3D composite in a few easy steps. *We will also cover that all important step of creating the deliverables and handing it off to your client. *
*
Dont miss part 4 coming to the blog soon!
*
I am interested in how many of you are currently involved or interested in Stereoscopic 3D production. *Please write a few brief words in the comments. *How do you find Stereoscopic 3D production and what challenges have you faced?
*
That’s it from me and I hope you all have a great weekend!
Regards
Grant
