‘Fast & Furious’ is a high-octane action-thriller that sees Diesel, Walker et al “blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert”.
The storyline begins with fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto returning to LA where he reignites his old feud with agent Brian O’Conner. But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to out-maneuvere him.
“From convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.” Universal Pictures. |
An Empire online review urges viewers to file the film under ‘guilty pleasure’ stating that “petrol-heads are in for another dose of shamelessly dumb fun”. Both the teaser and the new trailer for the film can be viewed at the Fast & Furious website.
“The giggles of stupid glee should be reserved for the end, however, where Toretto speeds his car underneath a bouncing, flaming tanker. If this were an Xbox game then that would surely be an Achievement Unlocked moment.” Empire online 15 January 2009. |
Fast & Furious is due for release early April 2009.
