How to convert Linier HD sequence to High Dynamic range

Iam trying to composite HD fire shooted with Canon 550D. When composited with DPX footage, Iam not able to get the dynamic range in my HD footage. Is there any way to convert Linear HD to High dynamic range.

For still images i do it in photoshop’s ‘merge to HDR’ option, by merging images after varying their exposure in photoshop itself.

If any possibilities please let me know asap…
