Grading before keying
Posted in: NUKE from The FoundryI saw some people grading footage before keying it. Is this really usefull? And if it is, why? since all the color is in the footage I don’t see why you need to grade it.
Thanks!!
Thanks.
3D Elements
Posted in: NUKE from The FoundryIs there a site, blog or thred that covers 3d element compositing.
I have:
Occlusion
Ambient
Keylight
Textures
Z
Specular
Reflection
And I would like to know in which order and what blende mode I could use for the best result and get away from artifacts.
Any ideas How I can use thies element in the best way.

I would like to know if there’s any way to make a Write node with read checked, act like a normal read node, with the same speed. Hope it’s possible cause the only solution for me now is adding a read node beside…
Thanks.
quick question.. I’m playing around with some beauty work in NUKE and I was wondering if NUKE has equivalent layer blending mode like Photoshop’s Linear Light?
quick question, can i change write node’s so they include an alpha channel by default? and if so how? I’ve walked away to let 6 greenscreen write nodes render for two hours to come back and realize i forgot to check the box to include the alpha channel. (done this three times in a row now, oops.) Figure I may as well ask while waiting for another rerender 🙂
thx,
