Ok, my scene is set. I have 70 write nodes, each of them connecting to an image sequence. They all have the file destination and filne name set and they work fine when i try to render them alone. But I would like to render them all at once, is it possible?
When I try to render them all, Nuke asks me for the frame range, the problem is I have clips with 30 frames and clips with 300 frames.
What can I do to render all my Write Nodes using the frame range of the Read Node that they are connected to?
Here is what I tried but didn´t work (maybe cause the expression is wrong):
I added a expression to the Disable of my Write nodes, this is the expression:
!(range(frame,[thisreadfirstframe],[thisreadlastframe]))
But I get the Result: ERROR
Thanks all !
First of all, I am new at Nuke and Compositing. But I am learning a lot here. Thanks for that.
My question is:
I have in my Node Graph, a series of nodes that are image sequences (clips), and I want to render them all into .mov files. So what I did was:
I added a write note to all of them indicating where I want to save them and giving all the specifications.
My only issue is, as there are a LOT of write nodes, I am having to rename the destination file in each one of them. Is there a way to add a string to the file name where nuke will name the file equal as the node?
For example:
My write node has this information on the file field:
/Volume/hd/clips/clip_001.mov
Can i add something like
/Volume/hd/clips/#getclipname#.mov
Cause it would make my life MUCH easier.
Thanks !
I remember that it is a second projection camera doing the work.
blast.
Thanks
I have control over the exposure in normal rgb but if i create some channels to outpur exr
the exposure control can´t be added
I know that i need to remove gamma from all textures but i don´t know how to output the image in linear space.
I import the exr in nuke and i have to add a colorspace node after all the suffles and corrections.
I am using Nuke to convert *.exr files (from VRay) to scanline.
so as you would I set up my write node all channels, set my compression, rename the file adding an sl to the name and away we go.
now I have two problems that I run into.
firstly on occasion nuke refuses to read these files and the read node error out..
secondly if for example i exited the comp and later went back to that comp to do further work, when it is re open I get the below error for the write node that did the conversion, this is with all compression types for *.exr files
"write1.file_type : Bad value for compression : LZW"
am running mac osx 10.5.7 and nuke 5.1v5
-DrJ0nes
Moreover, when changing to another directory (in the write mode) I’m loosing the name of the setup. Is there a way to keep it until I type something else?
Thanks
i just have to know how do i take the zdepth pass and convert him to the depth pass in the exr node
At the moment, the sphere is textured with a solid colour – with my limited knowledge i’m trying to add the flare onto the sphere, but it is using the flare as a texture and wrapping it around the imported obj sphere – this isn’t what i’m after…
I would also want to extend this if I could, to have the sphere’s xyz coordinates as the centre for a volumerays or godrays node, and again view this through the scanline renderer with a 2d sequence for the alpha mask – I might be getting ahead of myself here and it might be that these 2d nodes can’t talk to the 3d nodes, but any advise would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
