Nuke Node Names

Hi everyone..

Is there any way to acquire the name from another node?, for example a backdrop which contain this node(s)

I’m trying to rename all nodes contained into a backdrop…, What I want to do is that all node names contained inside a backdrop use its name as a prefix or subfix or whatever…

Is it possible?

I was reviewing the user guide but i didn’t found anything else, just how to create nodes and assign a name via script panel.
(I’m not a programmer :()

Hi,

the manuals tells you to connect your source image to both src and dst input. Why are there two inputs if they take the same image? What can be achieved by connecting a different image to the dst input?

How can i remove the dark edge and change the color of fog in Nuke

hi~guys

Looks like i got a problem with my compositing in Nuke,

i got a dark edge when i add a Fog node to the scene, and i can’t change the fog color to other color.

so~ has anybody got an idea on this problem? i’m very new to the nuke~

Coloring individual pixels

Is there a way to change the color of individual pixels?

Say you have a black constant 256×256 and you have two lists, one with UV positions and one with RGB values so for example

UV = ([100, 100], [20, 30], [53, 35])
RGB = ([1.0, 0.0, 0.0], [0.0, 1.0, 0.0], [0.0, 0.0, 1.0])

Now loop through the UVs and RGBs list and color the pixel… I was thinking maybe the RotoPaint node can be scripted to work that way somehow? Or maybe there is an easier way to do this already?

How to make node eval knobs after setValue?

Hi,

I have hundreds of trackers to matchmove or stabiliz one sequence. I want to swtich them, set the ‘transform’ and the reference frame by scripting. However when I use the following script it doesn’t evaluate even the number in the knobs appears changed. the image still have no effects, it doesn’t move! But if I manually double click the node to make it active. Then run the script, it works!

Code:

tracker = toNode('Tracker1')
tracker['reference_frame'].setValue(2332, 0, 2332, 'Viewer1')
tracker['transform'].setValue('stabilize')


Anyone have idea why this happens?

Problem with primatte !

HI
I have a shot with bad green background .I add Rotopaint node to draw mask around my actor
To make it easier for keyer . After that I add premultiply node to multiply RGB with Alph channel
And everything look ok. But after I add primatte node for keying ,primatte ignore my mask .
I know I can use crop knob in primatte node, but it’s so linear and you should crop with just four lines.
How should force primatte to don’t look outside of the mask.

Is it possible

Hi now i working with a projection shot. Successfully done all the things and its look good. I need to give volume to my rocks(originally 2d image) so i use Displace-geo so i got the result what i want. But the edges are bit crappy so i increase the cards rows/columns 50-50 and the problem will solved but rendering time will increased its usual thing i know.

There is any way crop the card3d are is it possible to create card only the image region Because i have 172 cards in my scene (im totally F____D up). there is any other simple way :confused::eek::splat:

I have a mask element I am trying to get working and could use some help in the right direction. As you can see the balls are transparent and not sure what it is I am going wrong.

Rock Solid Stabilization

So I have avery simple split screen shot with a very simple problem but does not have simple solution. I have two grainy plate with very little jiitter from the film just running through the gate that I have degrained. I have run a Tracker – remove jitter followed another Tracker – Stablize. I just cant seem to remove all the micro shake in the plate. Any tips?
