Maya to Nuke

Hey guys,

after I had to do some maya to nuke object and camera exporting. With animation on both of them I found a neat python script that I like to share with you, because it works pretty well and saved me some time today.

It lets you select the objects, lights and whatsoever, calculate the animation and actually paste them into nuke, where it creates all the necessary nodes with animation data.
It runs fine under Maya 2011 and NUKE 6.0v5 .

hey Python guys..How do I do this?

Hi all,
Everytime I want to search for a gizmo that perhaphs is not listed, I have to hit the "ALL PLUGINS/ "UPDATE" button.

It would be so nice if I could start nuke, hit the search tab, and find "Every" gizmo that is in Nuke.

To prove to you that I need help with python, and I know nothing about it,

Rendering fails – get(channels=0xF)

Hi!

I keep on getting an error message when rendering one of my setups.
It always fails on the same frame:

"Warning: Keymix3: get(channels=0xF), but request(channels=0x7)"

After restarting Nuke it works for some time, but then again the renderings start to fail…
I’m using Nuke 6.1v1 64Bit on Linux.

Suggestions anyone?

extracting Grain

Hallo friends
I am trying extract grain and apply it back on the same image (after defocus)
problem and scenario:
i am on Flame now and do not have scanned grain node

1 i have clean bg without grain,
2 i subtracting it from original bg and have black frame,
3 i am rising offset in CC to 50% (0.5 in nuke) and i have gray plate ‘with some grain’
4 now i trying to regrain my footage
5 question is which mode should i use when i am merging
so far overlay looks not so bad but still this is not good

i able extract only heavy compression of footage but not grain
bwt 🙂 it is d7 :shhh: footage – that is a reason or i did something wrong?

NukeX 6.1 error…

So my script just crashed after it finished rendering and now when I open the file I get this:

ERROR: root.f: Nothing is named "set"
root.f: Nothing is named "set"

and I hit OK, and there’s nothing in the file.:mad:

This is in NukeX 6.1 on Win7 64.

Anyone seen this one yet?

Working with more image sequences

Hi,

i have used until now only after effects but i really want to try to switch to nuke. My question is if one can import more image sequences to bild a short movie. I have three renderings out of max, from different cameras and i want them to combine in one movie. In after effects you import more layers with the sequences and arrange them so one begin at the end of the other. So, can be this also done in nuke? I hope my question is clear so everybody can understand what I am looking for.

I have already ask for the pic single image import in the Nuke, NukeX and noting visible in the view port and i tried a lot for this still didn’t get any solution can anybody help me in this. please give me brief explanation in this. thanks in advance
