nuke -t in Windows?

I’d like to start nuke in terminal mode from a DOS shell (nuke -t). This works fine in unix, but on windows I have only been able to get it to work with the full executable name "Nuke6.0.exe -t"

How can I get nuke to launch on a PC with "nuke -t" instead ?

thx

Heya all…matte/alpha problem

Hi all

Please could you all help me. I want to use the black and white picture of the women shopping as an alpha and use the cloth as a fill. From reading some posts here, I see i need to channel the black and white picture of the women into the alpha of the cloth and merge downstream…..right?

Please see my attached nk project and see where i am going wrong. There are 2 options there.

So 2 ways of doing this would be too use shuffle copy. I want to have the red background under the women with a fill there. …mine does not happen…i have tried to shuffle things around there and no luck

The second way is to copy a just the red channel like you can do with flame into the alpha channel…since the black and white has no colour the red channel is fine…Can this be done or am i barking up the wrong tree here?

Many thanks all

creating cards in nuke

Hi, I have tracked a footage in pf track and have brought it to nuke as a script, the problem is that I am not able to create a card from the point cloud . Another problem is that if I create a card and attach the card seems to be very small compared to imported pf track camera . . please guide me if the problem is solved earlier …

Thanks !!

How does the PointsTo3D node work?

I’m so impressed by this node and how easily it can find Z-position for objects when you don’t have a point cloup. I’m using After Effects for compositing as well, and from what I know, you can’t do this – at least not that easy. So does anyone know how the node works – maybe it would be possible to reproduce through scripting/expressions in other applications. How did you guys find Z-positions before that node existed, or in other applications?

After Effects blend modes in NUKE?

Hi guys,

I’m struggling to learn Nuke coming from years of After Effects background. I’m often compositing multipass 3D-renders, so I finally decided to give Nuke a try and maximize the quality of my composites.

Right now it’s really hard for me to work with the blend modes of the merge-node. They are all called different than the blend modes in AE or Photoshop.

Did anyone ever see some kind of list with the blend modes in AE and the adequate blend mode in Nuke? I know that they will not be 100% the same, cause the AE blend modes doesn’t work mathematically correct, but maybe someone can point me in a direction here?

Thanks everyone!

New to Nuke

Hello,
im teaching myself Nuke by way of nearly every tutorial I can get my hand on.

I just want to know how to do something simple, and I havent seen it in any tuts…not that it doesnt exist.
In AE if I want to bring in 100 layers from a folder, I either drag the folder into the project, or I use a script called immigration, which will also let me do thi plus various functions.

In nuke, all I can find is one by one….create a read file…and browse. Seems like there is a faster way to import multiple clips of the same type….right?
Thanks in advance!
