The Old Steeple

Any feed back for a rookie like me is greatly appreciated! I had quite the time tracking and stabilizing this shot. I ended up using 2 stabilize notes and 2 SmoothCam (on lock) Notes to get it still enough. I used Shake and Blender.

First background created

Hey Guys,

The image below is my first stab at making a matte background for an independent show. This was done using photoshop as the main program. I plan on having it animated with thunderous clouds and maybe your occasional flickering horror porch light. Hope you enjoy the image and note that this is only my first dry run.

Riddle Knob Todd

This was made in Maya, rendering in Mental Ray and doing the compositing in Photoshop. I tried to match the grain over the whole render.. not sure how well that worked out. There’s still a lot I have to learn about skin shaders and such too… but seeing as this is my first attempt at a human character with believable features, it turned out at least decent enough I suppose.

It was fun to do either way and am ready to get on to the next task; shooting live footage for my dinosaur compositing 🙂 Exciting
