Add Mix

Hi guys,

I have done some work in Nuke and had to switch to fusion when I switched jobs. Really like it so far!

One of the things I have been missing is the add mix tool from Nuke. Does anyone know a workaround for this.

Don’t like the edges from my keys so far 🙂

Any answers appreciated.
Thanks

Eyeon Software First To Offer Stereoscopic Site Licensing

Toronto: June 3, 2010… Having seen a tremendous surge in the use of stereoscopic elements in VFX production since the beginning of 2010, eyeon Software today announced their latest licensing initiative, Stereoscopic Site Licensing. With the imminent release of Fusion 6.1 and related product updates, eyeon has dedicated significant resources to create leading stereoscopic pipelines.

“Collectively, the industry has been more than a little surprised at the global level of interest in stereoscopic production; this was very apparent at NAB and other recent industry events. Our team began working closely with several clients to determine how we could best support this developing market. The introduction of site licensing with Fusion and Rotation 6.1’s new GPU stereo workflow is exactly what studios need.” ~ Joanne Dicaire, Director of Sales and Marketing

Recent Fusion architectural advancements have created the ability to easily gear up for the high demand of stereoscopic production. Designed to take full advantage of today’s super computing power, the new Stereoscopic Site Licensing provides studios with the future roadmap to low cost GPU rendering. The render farm queue is no longer hindering the production process. Gone are the days of waiting in line, render locally and view your work in seconds instead of hours or days.

Rotation 6.1 couples with Fusion 6.1 to introduce new tools for rotoscoping, keying, color management, and plugin support. The expanded capabilities are specifically targeted for shot prepping, touchup, tracking, and depth map generating for stereo conversion. Together, a site license of Fusion, Rotation, and Render Nodes gives artists the ability to be very creative and work far more effectively. The artists are able to render locally and view their shots; submitting their finals in the least amount of time, eliminating cost prohibitive wait times and significantly reducing ongoing shot revisions.

open EXR from Maya!! How to use in Fusion?

I have rendered a scene from maya in Open EXR format and it contains many passes like diffuse, Specular, reflection, refraction….. etc

But how can I separate each pass from the exr.

I toxic we can directly choose which pass we want to use,Is there a similar option of 3rd party tool to accomplish this.

Shadow Compositing

I am working on a composite shot in which i have to composite a character on a cg place, alien kinda terrain,i am having issues with shadow composite on it as well as the occlusion of feet on ground.

the shot is a high angle, and the scale of character is relatively small in comparison to the cg terrain,

wanted to know different approaches to go over the shot,
its for a film festival,so can’t really post anything of it,
but i hope i have made myself clear

Animating Time

Hi there,
I’m completely new in Fusion and I wondered how to animate a time-stretch in Fusion?

So at first the foootage plays fast, then slows down, and fast up again and so on.
I’ve watched some Video tutorials of eyeon on how to animate parameters but in the "TimeSpeed" Operator I can’t animate the first param.

Any Suggestions?
