Eyeon Fusion 3D-path heading/look ahead

Hey guys!

If this question has been answered already please redirect me to that thread.

I was just wondering if there is an easy way to do a path heading/look ahead in Fusion’s 3D? Say that I want to just animate the path of movement and not the rotation, I want the rotation to look to the direction it is heading.

Is there a fast way of doing this, maybe connecting the Target to a time-based expression or something?

Thanks in advance

Simon

Please help! Stuck with alpha-channel

Why if I render premult alpha background color affects the comp?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m trying to solve this issue for a week and still can’t find the answer. I understand how it adds in "over" operation (alpha of foreground object is inverted, multiplied with background and then foreground object is added).

For example the background color where the alpha equals 0 is blue, and the alpha there is 0. Why it’s not 0 in the end? Shouldn’t it be scaled down to 0? If we mult any color by 0, it’s 0. Why does the opposite happens?

Maybe the reason is fusion additive merge mode? It says it "simply adds pixels, assuming boths images are premultuiplied".

Please help!

edit .vob and resave asap

Hi folks-

I’m in huge need of advice here asap.

In short:
How to edit 90 hours of .vob files (selectively editing snippets) and get them back into .vob files with minimal loss in quality and minimal processor time.

A little longer:
Basically, I have a ton of DVD content that the producers have granted me full access to edit their material, but because of time I can’t edit the lossless source.

Ideally, I’d like to use something very light, such as Quicktime Pro (which I have) to insert in/out points and trim, then re-save. Done. QT does this for mp4 files, but it appears I cannot with mpeg and .vob files.

I would also like to be able to chop out the audio and insert my own.

I have FCP and After Effects, but I can’t afford the render time.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks-
paul
