BOUNCE – This is not a freestyle movie

No wonder football is the most popular sport on earth : everyone can play, even me. For two years now, I’ve been lucky enough to travel in various countries with a ball as a faithfull companion. Along this great journey, it has experienced sand, grass, concrete and snow. It has also bounced back to me after hitting many walls. Cheers to the greatest game of all. Why don’t we just take A little bit of time Away from home ? To kick-back Like the world’s your play yard To lay low For a couple of days off To take the time to live And be who we are A day is what you make it And what you’ll recall Ain’t nothing big enough To come tear us appart. Things come and they go But ya just can’t predict What awaits tomorrow Like a message in a bottle Saying i shouldn’t have let you go. So you bounce back ’cause life is what you make it You gotta make a move ’cause ya gotta get ya ticket Let’s kick it together girl are you with? (Chorus) Why don’t we just take A little bit of time To free our souls ? Why don’t we just take A little bit of time Away from home ? Ooh ooh yeah

Sony to stop production of PlayStation Portable; pushes the new Vita

There is some real bad news for all gamers out there; Sony Corp. is pulling the plug on its hand-held PlayStation Portable video game machine after 10 years.

The Japanese electronics and entertainment company wants to completely focus on pushing the successor machine, PlayStation Vita.

Tokyo-based Sony on Tuesday stated that PSP shipments ended in January for North America, and will end in Japan this month and later this year in Europe.

Discounts on Vita and downloads are offered to Japanese PSP owners, but are still undecided for those overseas.

More than 76 million PSP machines were sold, as of two years ago, the last time a tally was taken. The PSP went on sale in December 2004.

With Sony reporting a $1.3 billion loss for the last fiscal year and expecting to stay in the red this year too, the move has some logic behind it. Machines devoted to games are struggling against the popularity of smartphones and other devices.

Some analysts also feel that Vita may not really set the sales on fire as a significant number hasn’t been sold since its launch. Sony’s handheld game machine also faced stiff competition from Japanese rival Nintendo Co.’s 3DS. But even Nintendo has also struggled to keep momentum going for its game machines.

Disney dishes out more Spanish-language digital initiatives

Disney/ABC Television Group is continuing its expansion into the Spanish-language digital market and is set further consolidate it this summer with the release of an interactive special in that language on the Disney Junior Appisode app.

The launch will be a Spanish episode of Sofia the First available on the app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The service allows 2- to 7-year-olds to tap, swipe, touch, tilt, shake and talk their way through various activities embedded in the episode. The app is free on iTunes with a download of ‘Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Road Rally’.

That release comes on the heels of the recently launched Disney Junior en Español, an entire programming block in Spanish for the WATCH Disney Junior app. That initiative includes Spanish-language versions of popular shows such as Doc McStuffinsJake and the Never Land PiratesMickey Mouse Clubhouse and Sofia the First.

An extension for Android and Kindle Fire called Disney Junior Color! en Español lets tykes draw, paint and colour pages from their favourite series. The WATCH app is available on several devices, including desktops, iPhones, iPads, iPod touch, select Android devices and Amazon Kindle Fire, among others.
