“BOXING BABY” GREW UP A BIT AND NOW SHE HITS EVEN HARDER AND FASTER!

She’s doing way better every year!

Do you remember little Evnika from the Kazakh city of Pavlodar? This girl became a Youtube star when she was only five – the video where Evnika throws about a hundred shots in less than two minutes under her father’s guidance has gained about three million views. Two years later Evnika Saadvakass appears on Youtube again to show her boxing progress, and the progress is obvious.
The first thing that strikes the eye is her improved footwork. Evnika is very confident in the stand up and her striking looks much harder than it used to be. She looks much more concentrated now and it’s clear that boxing for her is not something to please her dad but something she really loves.

Comments on this video are sometimes ironic (“Daddy wanted to have a boy”), sometimes surprised (“So what she’s going to do in future, pro boxing? She’s too advanced for an amateur”). Rustam, Evnika’s father, explains that this video was made mostly for other parents: “My friends keep telling me: ‘It would be cool if we could train like this when we were kids!’ Just imagine, how great our life could be if we had skills like Evnika? It’s every child’s right to start training when you’re under five and then use the gained skills for the rest of life. Actually, this is not a video about sports, but about our parental abilities and things we can give our children today”. DOUBLE K.O.

It was really just a way of making an homage to my favourite games while working on my digital painting, colour theory and composition with a little bit of animation thrown in.
