Is there any way to invert alpha of Color Range?
I have keyed out the yellows and what I now wan’t to do
is to have ONLY yellows left.
I work in an ad ageny (print) as a designer in Dubai. I learnt afx on my own and did some stuff for the fun of it. Now I am keen to pursue a career out of it and am learning it more seriously. I read some posts here and have purchased books of “Chris & Trish Meyers” on After Effects and am learning the software thoroughly. My questions are:
What are the areas that I can seek work if i master After effects, ofcourse i understand that i would need to learn more than just After Effects to get a job. What are the other softwares that are definitely necessary?? Since I am not yet completely aware of all the opportunities, I want to enter the industry with couple of softwares and then decide on a career path once I understand the various possibilities. Also am not the best at conceptualising (when it comes to design), my best skills are more at execution. So keeping my skills in mind, what should i concentrate on to make the best out of my skills.
I will really appreciate any answers on this as this will shape my future. Also this can help a lot of print designers like myself, to understand the possibilities of migrating from print.
Cheers,
Vijay.

I searched the forum and got a lot of feedback on either depth of field or motion blur.
I know how to apply depth of field using frischlufts plug-in with a DOF render pass.
And motion blur I usually apply using revisions plug-in with a MB-render pass.
But when having to apply both of them how do you do it?
Do I apply the two plug-ins to my footage layer at ones?
Do add DOF first, then pre-comp and the motion blur?
Or the other way around?
I’m worried that the DOF will blur the footage so that the motion blur pass
won’t line up anymore (and the other way around).
Any one with any surgestions would be highly apreaciated.
Thank you.
Do I then add motion blur to the DOF pass?
Or what is the workflow here?
Does anyone know how to turn it off or how to get rid of it?
oh btw I tried it with MP4 MOV WMV .. TIFF’s TGA’s but nothing..
Cheers
I ‘v seen a few tutorials about exporting tracking data from mocha to AE..
but you know, the problem is the whole things go well with those tutorials and the tracking data transfers exactly as the way they should
but for me..it is just disaster .
for example I do a simple track in mocha and save the transform data out of it..
then in AE I choose the Null layer and past it at right frame and right frame rate.. but
the Null object just goes off the position where It should be..
I know that something’s wrong with the anchor point transformation but I don’t know how .. the Null object should follow the tracking data out of mocha and it does but with offset…
I don’t know how to fix this ?
thank you in advanc
