Swiss insurance company Zurich is running “Snowmen”, a Europe-wide cinema and online campaign showing the insurer’s employees going to great lengths to protect snowmen. The ad opens with snowmen melting in Bergün/Bravuogn, a municipality in the district of Albula in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. Zurich employees dressed in blue turn up in refrigerated trucks to take the endangered snowmen on a journey to the top of a mountain in the Alps. The ad ends with the line, “When you truly love something, you protect it in the best way”. The ad directs viewers to a website, zurich-snowman.ch, where they can build a virtual snowman, or submit a photo of one. Zurich will then pick winning entries to be recreated, for real, on top of the Alps. The campaign is a continuation of Zurich’s “For those who truly love” position launched in September 2013.
