Virtual reality developers are set to have their very own conference

Virtual reality (VR) has become one of the most anticipated and most talked about topic of the gaming industry. With its popularity on an upward surge, major players in the scene like Sony, HTC, Oculus and more would be looking forward to enthrall the audience. Possibly, keeping the same thing in mind and to garner undivided attention, the Virtual Reality Developers Conference (VRDC) will be back this year for its second edition with an event solely dedicated to them.

The difference in this edition would be that, the event will not be just an add-on to the Game Developers Conference but, it will be an independent event.

The event will be held from 2 to 3 November, 2016 in San Francisco, where VR enthusiasts, artists and developers will gather. There will reportedly be a show section where exhibitors will be showcasing their products and services.

The advisory board of the event will be formed by the members of Valve, Oculus and Google coupled with game developers like Job Simulator and they will be heading the event in an attempt to shape it.

Although VRDC will have a separate conference, it will still be present at the much larger Game Developers Conference which will be having its upcoming edition in February, next year.

This can definitely be a good thing for the VR community as it will gather undivided attention to the technology and its products, as VR seems to have already created a space for itself to some extent.
