Animation – MODO from The Foundry

The Foundry, provider of award-winning creative software used globally by leading artists, is heading to Phoenix, AZ and SOLIDWORKS WORLD 2015 to show off solutions for the product and industrial design market. In addition to showing its integrated SolidWorks offerings, including PhotoView 360 rendering tool and the MODO for SOLIDWORKS kit, The Foundry will introduce MODO Extended Bundle, a solution that brings some of the industry’s leading applications for product designers into one package. Paul McCrorey, head of McCrorey Digital, will join The Foundry in its booth (Exhibitors Pavilion #202), to share some of his best practices for blending engineering, marketing and advertising expertise to create stunning marketing imagery for his clients.

“To help product designers create the most effective design workflow, we brought the most relevant products into one comprehensive offering to make it easier for them to access the solutions they need,” said Brad Peebler, president of The Americas, The Foundry. “Our solutions take care of the technical details, to free designers to do what they do best –  explore creatively, iterate freely, and arrive at the optimum design on deadline.”

The MODO Extended Bundle, available on February 9th for $2,299 Node-Locked or $2,599 Floating, offers everything product designers and visualization specialists need to create compelling, impactful product design concepts. The bundle starts with MODO’s comprehensive high-quality 3D tools; adds MeshFusion Booleans, IntegrityWare’s production-proven Power Translators, and Power SubD-NURBS, more than 100 HDR images, easy-to-use lighting templates, and ends with high-fidelity round-tripping with SolidWorks or stunning image output to communicate design intent.

In addition to the bundle, people can stop by The Foundry booth to see:

MODO 801: Fast. Fun.

MODO 801,  a complete solution for modeling, design exploration, and advertising media production, allows designers to conceive, explore and create anything in MODO’s intuitive 3D environment. MODO puts the fun back into 3D content creation and design so artists can freely explore creative ideas and achieve high quality, photorealistic results in less time.

MeshFusion for MODO: Complex boolean operations made easy.

The revolutionary and award-winning boolean modeling plug-in made exclusively for MODO 801. MeshFusion opens up a new world of creative possibilities for artists and designers by taking away the challenge of complex and frustrating boolean operations. Create booleans between subdivision surface (SDS) objects and edit assembly instructions creatively with Fusion Strips or the intuitive 3D Tree Fusion. MeshFusion allows designers to explore ideas faster and more efficiently than ever before.

COLORWAY: Design changes, fast.

COLORWAY significantly streamlines the iterative design review and communication process by  offering clarity and efficiency through fast, non-destructive material and lighting changes. Designers can present and review design variations in a click of a button and in realtime, make color, lighting, and material changes using a simple UI.

MakerBot Kit for MODO: Create, publish, print.

With the MakerBot Kit for MODO, users can create and edit designs using MODO 801 and publish the files directly to MakerBot’s Thingiverse.com, or save them privately using the MakerBot Cloud Library, all from within MODO.  Thingiverse® is one of the largest 3D design communities in the world, offering more than 500,000 downloadable digital 3D files.
