Over the past few months I worked closely with plants which gave me an astounding perspective. I realized that a few branches and buds did not grow, that some were longer than others, some never opened, some never grew, and some were more responsive that others to light and temperature. Under the microscope I noticed order and a natural purpose that is often overlooked. Cells, plant stems, and flower patterns all followed mathematical sequences, such as, the Fibonacci and the golden ratio. The most astounding fact is that small things have big beginnings. We owe our existence to the rare stupendous even in time to the first single self-replicating cell. k.m
