Sing’s trailer comes with a message: “Don’t let fear stop you from doing the thing you love”
Posted in: AnimationHow easy is it to break away from your daily routine and follow your dreams, your long forgotten passion? Here’s a small line from The Zombies The Way I Feel that says it all:
“if I feel that I could be certain then
I would say the things
I want to say tonight”
And that’s exactly what we get to witness in Illumination Entertainment’s official trailer of their Christmas 2017 release, Sing. In February the teaser of this animated musical feature was released wherein we observed various animals auditioning for the singing competition whereas in the recently released first trailer of the film, the backstory of the characters is revealed.
Coming from the house of Minions, the trailer showcases the struggle of each character with finding their own identity and rise above all. Right from the optimistic koala Buster Moon to the housewife pig Rosita to the gangster gorilla Johnny, each one of them have hope that they can bring a change in their life.
What we liked the most about the trailer? The fact that they have tried to showcase struggles of humans in the life of animals. A gangster who wants to break away from his gang and pursue singing, a housewife who’s husband is too busy to notice her talent, a teenager who has stage fright, an entrepreneur whose lifelong business and dream is in jeopardy.
Anaconda, Butterfly, Let’s Dance, The Humpty Dance, Sing and many more entice the viewers in this three minute trailer. One thing that we noticed was the fact that apart from the crocodile and snake, no other predators can be seen like panther or lion or tiger. Also underwater animals are also given a miss (they can be seen in the background of the restaurant).
Apart from these two points, the trailer is a perfect amalgamation of humour, emotions and struggle. Coming from Illumination Entertainment, this would be the second movie from the house that’s based on the life of animals: The Secret Life of Pets and Sing.
The musical escapade is set to enthrall the audience on 21 December, 2016.
