Many of us keep dogs at our homes as pets. But do we value them as intelligent members of our family or as toys for our amusement? When this Chinese man adopted an abandoned Golden Retriever from an animal shelter, he had no idea he was in for a heartbreaking lesson in animal intelligence and their relationship with humans.
