This year’s E3 has been full of superb game reveals, exhilarating trailers and much anticipated hardware releases. But an announcement that was made by Mojang during the Microsoft conference sent a ripple of joy among the Minecraft enthusiasts. The company introduced Microsoft Realms, which will allow players from Xbox One, Windows 10, iOS, and Android to play together in the sand-box, building game.
Minecraft Realms allows players to play on a group server whenever they see fit. This will improve player experience as it will deviate from the old ways where the host of a specific server had to be online in order to enable the players to build on that server. With the recent changes, one can simply join, leave and build as per their will. The feature also brings VR compatibility.
The pocket edition of the game and Windows 10 one already sport texture packs, bestowing players with the ability to alter the look of their Minecraft world. Minecraft will also be adding more add ons this fall to enrich player experience even further.
