Whilst we are still mulling over the prospects of the title, Marvel has started an official countdown to the release of Avengers 4 on its website. Slated to open in cinemas on 3 May 2019, the timer, at the time of writing, shows another 171 days ahead of us – almost half a year from now – and more importantly, this marks the first piece of marketing for the movie.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo signaled the end of reshoots for the movie last month with another cryptic message that sent the aficionados in a quandry. And in a recent Instagram-live interview from his LA bar, trolled the fans with a sneaky reply on being asked about the title.
On the studios’ official website too, the movie’s tentatively called Avengers: Untitled, though it is widely rumored that the official name will be revealed later this month with a full-length trailer following hot on its coat-tails.
Social media has been abuzz with fan theories and speculations about the movie, with several original Avengers widely touted to bite the dust in the quest to undo Thanos’ snap. But we await the first look of the movie with bated breath.
Clock’s ticking…
