We need your help to build the Lowline Lab, and bring a small slice of the Lowline to life on the Lower East Side in 2015. Go to www.thelowline.org/donate to get involved! The Lowline is an effort to build the world’s first underground park in New York City using innovative solar technology to channel sunlight beneath our city streets. As the next critical step in the Lowline’s efforts, we are building the Lowline Lab– a year-round exhibition and experiment. In the Lab, we’ll conduct solar experiments on light capture and delivery, and test which plants thrive in different conditions. We plan to open the Lab in May 2015 in an abandoned market space right near the future Lowline, where we’ll host a series of free workshops, events and cultural activites.
