Disney+Hotstar has announced its upcoming slate for the month of June. The OTT platform will stream Academy Award-winning movies Jojo Rabbit and Ford v Ferrari along with Terminator: Dark Fate. The list also includes behind the scenes of the animated movie Frozen II with Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2.
Jojo Rabbit is now available on the platform from 2 June. Directed by Taika Waititi, the film won an Oscar for Best Writing Adapted Screenplay, and revolves around Jojo, a lonely German boy who discovers that his single mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his imaginary friend -Adolf Hitler, Jojo must confront his blind nationalism as World War II continues. Waititi brings his signature humor and pathos to the film and tension.
Starring Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Terminator: Dark Fate opens decades after Sarah Connor prevents Judgment Day, a lethal new Terminator is sent to eliminate the future leader of the resistance. In a fight to save mankind, Connor teams up with an unexpected ally and an enhanced super soldier to stop the deadliest Terminator yet. The film is available 16 June onwards.
In less than a year until the release of Frozen II, the filmmakers, artists, songwriters participated in a six-part documentary series, Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2, to reveal the hard work, labour of love, and collaboration it takes to create one of the most highly-anticipated films in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ near-century of moviemaking.
The documentary series captures the challenges, breakthroughs, artistry, creativity and the complexity of creating one of the best animated features of all time. Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2 streams 26 june onwards.
Academy Award winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale starrer, Ford v Ferrari is based on the true story of visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966. Ford v Ferrari begins streaming on 30 June.
Besides these, the streaming platform will also have Perry Mason, I May Destroy You, Trackers and I’ll Be Gone in the Dark in this month.
