Audax Alpine Classic
Posted in: Animation
Earlier this year I worked with cycling club Audax Australia to capture a tilt-shift time-lapse of their event the Alpine Classic. Starting in the town of Bright 2,200 cyclists tackled several different courses of up to 250km which included ascents of Mount Buffalo, Mount Hotham, Falls Creek and Tawonga Gap. In my four days of shooting I covered nearly 2,000km through the Victorian High Country capturing cyclists, landscapes and the local towns. The film is shot on a Canon 5D Mark III with 17-40mm f/4L, 24-105mm f/4L and 70-300mm f/4-5.6 as well as the Emotimo TB3 Black motion control head. Some aerial footage was captured using a DJI Phantom with H3-2D gimbal and GoPro Hero3+ Black shooting 2.7K Protunes. Images were processed in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and LRTimelapse, while the film was edited in Premiere Pro and After Effects. The soundtrack and audio mix was produced by Tom Day https://soundcloud.com/tomday
