Blurring/removing text

Myself and a couple of classmates are preparing the final cut of a school project and have a small problem we are not sure how to fix.
We have a shot with a moving tram with the destination clearly visible on the front of the tram, therefore making the transport company obvious and this could end up in us getting a fine.
My question is can someone advise how to remove the text in after effects or recommend a good tutorial on how to do this?
