Belluno is a small town in the north east of Italy, surrounded by the Dolomites. It’s my hometown. I came back here after having spent a few years in London. Not too many, just enough to see my hometown so different compared to the place I had left for the city. Everything here has changed and I changed too so… old news I guess. The thing I miss the most about London is walking around without a destination. I’ve spent days discovering new places, looking for the smallest detail here and there. I tried to do the same here but it didn’t work out. It actually felt sad, I’m still not sure why. I had to do something to reunite with this place. I’ve spent 11 days forcing myself to document every angle of Belluno. I did this taking pictures of its walls with a small window open on something that represents my relationship with my hometown. This video documents this action. After all the hard work I am still having the same mixed feelings about this place and living here, but at least I’ve discovered that every wall, no matter how many we build, has a crack or a scratch. And this is a relief. ***** Directed by Emanuele Kabu Sound design by NoDolby (Michele Scariot) https://nodolbymichelescariot.bandcamp.com/ Mixed and mastered by Marcello Batelli. Ever wondered why the chip on your credit card made it slower — or where the chip and stripe on your credit card even came from? Here’s the story. In the mid-’60s, the airline industry had a problem. The 747, the first real jumbo jet, had just been introduced. There were more passengers at the airport than before. More passengers meant longer lines. And that was especially bad because this was the era when customers paid for their tickets right there at the airport — often by credit card. Back then, paying by credit cards was a whole ordeal. The airlines had to call up the bank manually in order to confirm the card. With lines growing, the airlines needed a faster process. So they called IBM to ask for help, and that’s where our story (which also features some French fraudsters and a hippie inventor) begins.

TB-303 Documentary – Bassline Baseline
Posted in: Animation
Bassline Baseline is a video essay that investigates the invention, failure and subsequent resurrection of the mythic Roland TB-303 Bass Line music machine in the last two decades of the 20th century. The narrative seeks to invite thoughts on technological mediation within product innovation and creative expression. The dead-panned ‘documentary’ video attempts to explore how and why creative tools fail and how increasingly more options, parameters or intermediaries devised during a tool’s research and development phase don’t necessarily lead to increased expressivity or virtuosity during the tool’s lifetime of actual use, unless the super-structure of its cultural context is dramtically reconsidered.
Narrated by Nate Harrison (creator of then Amen Break documentary).
Digital Thinkers – Awwwards Conferences

FULL PROJECT. https://www.behance.net/gallery/62250151/Digital-Thinkers-Conf The friends of AWWWWARDS called us again, this time it was for the complete creation of the image & identity of the event, both for the web, by the hand of the ADORATORYguys, and for the offline image of the event, print and editorial. The concept of these two conferences, Berlin and San Francisco, was DIGITAL THINKERS. We took care of materializing that concept with an explosion of colors and geometric shapes, making a wink to the banding effect that we have suffered so much digital designers with gradients.
