DC brings back the Lego mania with the release of ‘Lego DC Super Heroes: The Flash’ trailer

Lego DC Super Heroes: The Flash

Since the release of the hilarious Lego Batman on 17 February 2017, the fans clamoured for another Lego flick to hit the silver screen. And now, the wait is almost over as DC released the trailer of its upcoming comic caper Lego DC Super Heroes: The Flash.

The trailer teases plenty of elements with numerous superheroes, traditional DC locations and sidekicks all involved, though the story shares some resemblance to the comic Flashpoint. But that’s not all, the trailer also features two formidable villains, the Joker and the Reverse Flash.

The synopsis of the movie is: The Reverse-Flash manipulates the speed force to put the Flash into a time loop that forces him to relive the same day over and over again, with progressively disastrous results, including losing his powers and being fired by the Justice League. The Scarlet Speedster must find a way to restore time to its original path and finally apprehend his worst enemy, before all is lost for him…and the world!

The Lego world has been created to be as detailed as possible with the addition of the Justice Society of America (JSA).

A Warner Bros. Home Entertainment distribution, Lego DC Super Heroes: The Flash is slated for a release on 13 February 2018 on digital HD and 13 March 2018 on Blu-ray combo pack and DVD.

Kinsane Entertainment raises $2.5 million in angel funding

Kinsane Entertainment has a shot in the arm as the global digital entertainment company raised $2.5 million in investments from angel investors backed by Neeraj Bhargava.

Co-founded by Kurt Inderbitzin, Indrani Pillai and Saahil Bhargava, Kinsane plans to utilise the funds to launch eight new shows and 100 new games featuring 30 characters, over the next one year, aiming to turn these videos and games into global brands that would be promoted further through the means of television, movies, concerts and also merchandising. US, Brazil, Europe, India and China are the primary target markets.

Kinsane Entertainment co-founder and CEO Kurt Inderbitzin

Kinsane Entertainment co-founder and CEO Kurt Inderbitzin said, “Kinsane is your child’s best friend. We create content featuring characters that live, breathe and have personalities as rich and diverse as the very kids who are watching them. Kids can view these amazing characters, laugh and sing with them and even interact with them in games, live action and animated shows, augmented reality and audio books.”

A ‘digital first’ company, Kinsane creates kids content targeting the age group of two to 11 in multiple languages and subsequently distribute the same worldwide through advertising and revenue models based on transaction.

Kinsane chief mentor Neeraj Bhargava says, “We are seeing major disruptions globally in the digital media space. Television viewing is gradually declining and the content consumption is being revolutionised. According to a parent survey conducted by DHX/IPSOS, 72 per cent of kids across US, UK and Canada watch content on streaming services such as YouTube and Netflix. The digitisation of content has made content consumption global and omnipresent. The next leader in content will almost certainly be born digital and Kinsane aspires to be the gamechanger in the kids’ content space.”

‘Black Widow’ to finally get a Marvel standalone film

We first got the first glimpse of a strong and sexy woman who knocked down Tony Stark’s bodyguard Happy Hogan in the boxing ring, in Iron Man 2. And well, uh, Tony Stark too met the woman for the very first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the woman named Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) a.k.a. Black Widow.

Reports confirm that Marvel is finally serious about giving Black Widow a standalone film, though an official announcement has not been made yet.

Marvel Studio has roped in screenwriter Jac Schaeffer to pen the script for the yet untitled Scarlett Johansson film, which is now in the nascent stage of development.

After Iron Man 2, we saw Romanoff in other Marvel movies like The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, and will now be seen in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.

Considering the fact that Black Widow has quite a back story in the comicverse, it will be interesting to see how Marvel spins the story around for her solo feature. Also, if Black Widow makes to theatres, it will be second in the line of Marvel’s woman-centric movies, following its Captain Marvel in 2019.

This will be Schaeffer’s first Marvel project. Previously, she has written Disney’s animated short Olaf’s Frozen Adventure as well as the upcoming Nasty Women, a remake of the comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. She has also written and directed the romantic science-fiction film TiMER (2009).

We have always wanted to know what more is to Agent Romanoff other than her kicks and curt speech. All we can say right now is, if she can steal hearts of Marvel fans and non-fans even as a sidekick, she’d definitely be our favourite hero, to say the least!

Breathe // An 8K storm time-lapse film

Blu-Ray discs available here: http://mikeolbinski.com/shop/ Follow me: http://twitter.com/mikeolbinski / http://facebook.com/mikeolbinskiphotography / http://instagram.com/mikeolbinski Music: Breathe by Ex Makina licensed through the Music Bed: https://www.musicbed.com/artists/ex-makina/43678 ——- The moment I heard the opening thump of bass…I knew I would be using this song for my film. But then those haunting vocals hit my ears…and blew my mind. It was like a punch deep in my soul. It’s hard to explain that feeling when you first hear a song and you immediately fall in love with it. Almost like you’ve known it all along. I hadn’t even planned to start working on this film yet, but I was so inspired that I furiously began to lay down time-lapse clips. I couldn’t stop pouring over it. It was last September and I was supposed to be working on Monsoon IV, but I forgot all about it once I heard Ex Makina’s “Breathe.” It almost felt like it was made for a black and white storm film. About halfway through editing, I knew the song title would be my film title as well. It was so perfect I couldn’t believe it. Sometimes for me…when I’m chasing or watching an amazing storm…I’ll realize I haven’t taken a breath in awhile. Never really thought of it until I heard this song. I love being inspired by other artists. I love soundtracks. I can’t imagine the movie Interstellar without that powerful pipe organ soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. Music is so important to what I do and I’m so incredibly thankful to husband/wife duo Iain and Rebecca Campbell for writing this amazing song. Thanks to the MusicBed as well for having such fantastic musicians and artists. In early 2017, I put together a film called Pulse that was my first ever black and white time-lapse movie. It was so different and fun, I wanted to do a follow-up this year before the next chase season begins. Breathe is made up solely of storm clips from 2017…either from the spring across the central plains or from the monsoon here in the southwest. Some are favorites, some are just ones I knew would be amazing in monochrome and others I used because they fit the music so well.  I also went with a wider aspect ratio on these films to give it more of a cinematic feel. This is also the first film I’ve ever done in full 8K resolution. I’m super excited about that. You may not be able to watch it in that resolution, but it’s there if you can. Otherwise, 4K is a must if you can! I truly hope you enjoy this. For me, I needed something to pass the time and bridge the next few months as I wait for supercells to return to the plains. But honestly, I truly love putting these together. Thanks for all your support in the past and feel free to share! Technical Details: I used two Canon 5DSR’s along with a Canon 11-24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 135mm and Sigma Art 50mm. Manfrotto tripods. The final product was edited in Lightroom with LR Timelapse, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
