For those interested in supporting my ongoing, independent photography work, please consider pre-ordering the book or purchasing a fine art print: http://www.WeCameFromFire.com ** Amidst the chaos of the Iraq and Syrian War, independent photographer and director Joey L. embeds himself with Kurdish guerrilla organizations on the frontlines against ISIS. Without the constraints typical of our mainstream media, Joey offers a deeply personal, humanizing, and controversial view of the war. Back in January 2017, a local BC artist named Corey Moraes approached us at Lasalle College when then was called ‘The Art Institute of Vancouver ‘, with his ideas and vision about super heroes that relate to Corey’s First Nations heritage. We came up with the idea to create a short trailer, that would be influenced by Corey’s vision and ideas. The pre-production students started coming up with ideas and concepts, which then developed to be this trailer. The students were in charge of re-design, models, rigs, animation, render, edit and music. Please enjoy and share your thoughts
Herman Miller

A film for Herman Miller about Dutch design duo, Scholten & Baijings. Throughout their career as industrial designers, the husband-and-wife duo Scholten & Baijings have proved themselves to be acutely sensitive colorists. Together, the Dutch designers routinely kit out their furniture, fabrics, and objects in a host of unique shades and fresh palettes, making color something akin to form. In this short film, Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings peel back the curtain on their chromatic philosophy.
