That’s a different cat from the Yoda video by the way, watching my nieces cat for a while and I guess she had something stuck in her tail fur or something.

Moonlight and Wong Kar-wai

This is my homage to two extraordinary filmmakers.
I still can’t get out of my mind those soft atmospheres, the touches and all those unique feelings. I am so glad that Jenkins got the inspiration from Wong Kar-wai and crafted one of the best movie of our generation.

Movies:
-Moonlight (Barry Jenkins, 2016)
-Days of Being Wild (Wong Kar-wai, 1990)
-In the Mood for Love (Wong Kar-wai, 2000)
-Happy Together (Wong Kar-wai, 1997)

Music:
-“The Middle Of The World” by Nicholas Britell

REI Presents: Brothers of Climbing

How can you be what you can’t see? Mikhail Martin, co-founder of Brothers of Climbing said, “I literally typed, ‘Are there black climbers?’ in Google … someone said, ‘black people don’t climb.’” A small group of climbers began to challenge that thought. The Brothers of Climbing is a crew that’s making the climbing community more welcoming. Watch to see how they created a community where one wasn’t. Fats Domino – Blue Monday (Live From Austin TX)

“Blue Monday” from Fats Domino’s ‘Live From Austin TX’ performance. Buy it today on Amazon http://amzn.to/1djHSK4 or iTunes http://smarturl.it/FatsDominoLFAT.

First of all, like his hero Louis Armstrong a generation earlier, Fats is synonymous with New Orleans. Not to mention the early days of rock-and-roll. Who doesn’t love the infectious lyrics and floating melodies of “Blueberry Hill,” “Ain’t That A Shame” or “Blue Monday?” Music was practically a birthright for Antoine Domino, Jr., one of nine kids from a poor family. He never made it past 4th grade, but he was already playing boogie-woogie piano.
