Autodesk University 2016 portrayed ‘the future of making things’ through their vivid offerings and opportunities

Replete with interesting sessions and famed dignitaries from various sectors of the industry where the use of Autodesk softwares galore, the event aimed at providing insights to the futuristic projects which are rising in collaboration with Autodesk’s offerings.
Autodesk, senior vice president – APAC, Patrick Williams initiated the event with the opening keynote. His statement was focused on how the usage of the latest technology is helping in accelerating the manufacturing processes in India. He further asserted that given the growth of the manufacturing industry is on the surge, it is an absolute necessity for the manufacturers to be equipped with the latest technology in order to optimise their efforts and minimise the time consumption, which is the need of the hour. It was focused on offerings from Autodesk in respect to the industry.
Next up was Autodesk India and SAARC, managing director, Pradeep Nair. He spoke about the role of Autodesk in the ‘Make in India’ campaign initiated by the Government of India. Autodesk has provided their cloud based software tool for Computer Aided Design (CAD) solution, Fusion 360 at very low costs or even free in case of small entrepreneurs and MSMEs as a part of MoU they signed with the Maharashtra government.
Soon, the stage was handed over to Autodesk, senior vice president – worldwide sales and services, Steve Blum, but not before he made a rocking (and quite dramatic) entrance with a jeep, turban, black shades, dancers and the Kala Chashma song bustling over the speakers. Some of them included, Under Armour, the company which launched the world’s first completely 3D printed shoes for athletes, using Fusion 360, an Autodesk’s offering, McCarthy Buildings Companies which saved around 17000 man hours by integrating cloud to their system and many others.

It’s been almost a month since the ensemble of “Worst. Heroes. Ever.” debuted in the theatres on 5 August and went on to receive a lot of negative reviews due to its poor storyline. However, one thing that stood out was the VFX work which managed to captivate the audience.
Produced with a budget of $175 million, directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad went on to gross over $640.1 million worldwide. In the recent time, it’s been observed that most of the superhero films make use of heavy VFX and CGI to bring life to their characters and their insane abilities. The same goes with Suicide Squad as the film has characters like El Diablo who has the power to summon flames, Enchantress who being a witch has a lot of supernatural powers, and then there are action packed fighting scenes.
Having said that, one of the VFX studio which has worked on the film, MPC has released few before and after stills from the movie on their social media site. Check out the images below:

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s Viaan Studios plans to develop both F2P and premium games
Posted in: AnimationWith many indie game development studios springing up throughout the country, even the big players are looking forward towards tapping the huge potential that the country’s gaming industry might have.
The most recent to join the bandwagon is Viaan Studios. It was initiated by famed Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her husband Raj Kundra. The recently opened studio is the latest venture of the couple and comes in from their mobile manufacturer wing, Viaan Industries.
The most intriguing part about the studio is that it already has a roadmap of the games that they will be releasing over the course of time (till 2018). This hints to the facts that the studio might have already been working on creating titles, much before it was even revealed. The studio will not only be restricted to a single platform, but plans to release titles on various platforms including mobiles, PCs and consoles.
In a press release, Raj Kundra said, “We plan to target the 150 million mobile gamers in India with high-end, free-to-play games – and we’ll also offer premium titles to the wider international game market,” further saying, “We plan to tap into the global game market by releasing new mobile games every quarter, entering partnerships in India, and developing triple-A console games for the core market in the next two years.”
Their first release would be a mobile game called Survival Block, which is a zombie survival game, with further PC and console titles planned for near future releases.

What a Twist!
Posted in: AnimationHere are a few more daily renders I created while getting over this cold!
To create the wire I built a simple group of wires using several cylinder primitives. Then using a second group I created some smaller twists and scattered them along the line. In order to add a twist to the entire object I used the UTILITY export option to export and OBJ and re-import it as a single object. Then used the bend option. Making sure to turn on “Dynamic Deform” in the objects surface normal’s.

Not actually a bean at all (beans being seeds from the family Fabaceae, also known as Leguminosae), the Mexican Jumping Bean is the seed pod of a shrub called Sebastiania pavoniana that has been implanted with larva from the Laspeyresia saltitans (also called Cydia deshaisiana) moth.
