The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise – HD1080p – Star Wars Episode III Revenge of The Sith

take a moment to obsess over how brilliantly Ian McDiarmid played Palpatine here He shows Palpatine reminiscing over killing his master as he tells the story, and at the end when he says “but not himself”, you can see him experiencing the pleasure once more. It’s fantastic! I love this character and McDiarmid plays him perfectly. this is Star Wars acting at its finest!

A brew of Xbox One and PS4 shapes the new Chinese gaming console from Fuze

China had been experiencing a ban on video game consoles since the year 2000, but a couple of years back, the ban was finally lifted and the market steadily started accepting consoles. Right after the ban was lifted, Sony launched Xbox One in China in 2014, followed by Microsoft launching PS4 in March 2015 and the figures of these consoles point towards a humble start in the country with an install base of just 500,000.

Since the ban in 2000, the country’s gaming enthusiasts have resorted to PC games and more recently mobile games, and some of the companies have managed to merge TV and mobiles with custom consoles, much like Amazon Fire TV or Apple TV (iOS).

Now, a Chinese company named Fuze Entertainment, which had formerly revealed plans for its very own indigenous console has confirmed the same this year. Even though they hope on releasing the console next month, the date is subjective to change. They are the same company who helped in funding “Red Ash: The Indelible Legend” for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Incidentally, the console shares striking similarities with Xbox One and PS4. While the console itself looks like PS4, the controller is almost identical to that of Xbox One’s. The games operating system will be android based, but Fuze Entertainment, CEO, Wang Feng during a statement pointed out that their upcoming console named “Tomahawk F1” will not only allow users to play android based games, but also allow users to indulge into AAA games.

TOMAHAWK F11

With so much on their sights, Tomahawk F1 might have a good chance of competing against the likes of Xbox One and PS4 as they plan on bringing games from both Chinese and the overseas industry. During their recent conference they showed demos of Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend, Red Ash the Indelible Legend and Mighty No 9 along with few more famous games. The prices of the console are quite cheap; 899 RMB ($138) on the low end and 1499 RMB ($230) for a better system which boasts a 500 GB hard drive.

With a low price range and a mix of both Chinese and foreign games to their kitty, the company might just give a fair competition to the two above mentioned major consoles. We will have to wait for the launch and see how the console fairs in the Chinese console gaming market. The company also plans to launch VR games but no further information has been disclosed as of now.

Alibaba, Chinese e-commerce giant, to support the Chinese release of animated feature ‘Sheep and Wolves’

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has come on board to support the Chinese release of Russian animated feature Sheep and Wolves.

Produced by Moscow-based Wizart Animation and CTB, Sheep and Wolves was picked up for China release by Flame Node Entertainment and is headed for theatrical distribution from this summer.

Now, Flame Node has managed to get on board Alibaba Group, a leading Chinese e-commerce company, as a merchandising partner. The film has already been sold theatrically to Italy (Barter Entertainment), Spain (European Dreams Factory) and Portugal (Lanterna de Pedra Filmes), among others, and has already been released in Russia, the Baltics, Romania, Mongolia and Turkey. Apart from China, it is due to roll out in another 40 countries during the summer and fall.

Sheep and Wolves 1

The film features the story of a magical land where a flock of sheep faces the end of care-free days when a pack of wolves move to a nearby ravine. The plot revolves around the story of a wolf who is transformed into a sheep after drinking a magic potion.

“China is one of the key territories for us. We are delighted to work with a market expert like Alibaba. Flame Node and Alibaba together will bring the powerful performances of Sheep and Wolves to as wide an audience as possible,” said Wizart producer, Yuri Moskvin.

Alibaba Pictures Group, the movie arm of Alibaba, has been keen on investing in the film genre in order to upscale its business. Recently, it announced its plans to invest $155 million in China’s second largest cinema operator. The Chinese deal, with local partner Flame Node Entertainment, has come into effect after the successful last year release of the first installment of Snow Queen.

‘Assassin’s Creed’ movie trailer: The Spanish inquisition is here

There will be two movies releasing this year which will be from the gaming universe. First would be Blizzard’s Warcraft, which will be releasing on 25 May and the other movie which has been highly anticipated is Assassin’s Creed.  Finally, the first trailer of the movie has been released and though the story doesn’t draw much inspiration from the game as such but the ambience and sequences are bound to give you an absolute feel of the fantastic aspects and the open world of the game (if you have played or watched it).

The trailer premiered on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show has Michael Fassbender filling the shoes of the lead assassin Callum Lynch and also features Marion Cotillard. The movie is being directed by famed MacBeth director, Justin Kurzel and cinematographer Adam Arkapaw.

The story revolves around Callum Lynch, who is abducted by an organisation named Abstergo Industries, who are the modern face of a secret organisation named the ‘Knight’s Templar’, for the animus project, where he surveys the memories of one of his ancestor named Aguilar and discovers that he is the descendant of a secret society of assassins, while gaining skills that of a master assassin.

The trailer beautifully blends in the spick and span modern world with the charm of the old ages. There seems to be a lot of roof jumping as well as jump-executions, just like the game. The protagonist can be seen wielding two blades that look familiar too, isn’t it? Other than that, the action sequences seem just about perfect and so are the looks of the characters, which definitely adds up to its credibility.

To create this game based movie that’s set in a completely different era, there was an undoubted need for visual effects team. And to deliver that Double Negative’s Graham Page, Cinesite’s Christian Irles and Milk VFX’s Sara Bennett have been roped in as the VFX supervisors for their respective studios. With these eminent VFX houses working on this project, we can surely expect that some amazing visuals will be seen on the large screens.

The fact that the film is being produced by Ubisoft and Frank Marshall, who created their own film production team just for the movie, proves that they really want to do a good job with their indigenous franchise (and are probably planning to make sequels). The film will be distributed by 20th Century Fox and is scheduled to release on 21 December, 2016. For now, we just have to feast our eyes upon the first trailer of the film and oh yes! This poster.
