Ave Rose – Muskrat Love Music Box

Muskrat Love Music Box is an animated taxidermy sculpture by Ave Rose. Created as part of her Bestiary of the Automata Collection. The creature turns his head while raising his arms up and down. In his left hand he is presenting a real white mini rosebud. It is as if he is professing his love! Materials: muskrat skull, squirrel paws, genuine green jade, antique clock parts. Measurement: 22″ tall 13″wide 4.5″deep. Created for Ave Rose’s Bestiary of the Automata Collection shown at the La Luz De Jesus Gallery May 2014.

Skunk Magic Music Box is an animated taxidermy sculpture by Ave Rose. Created as part of her Bestiary of the Automata Collection. This skunk magician’s upper body circles within the glass sphere as he performs a magic trick with 3 enchanted spheres. Materials: skunk skull, squirrel paws, 4 genuine rubies set in 14 k gold on his headdress and one genuine ruby on his ring.
Measurement: 12″ tall 8″round. Created for Ave Rose’s Bestiary of the Automata Collection shown at the La Luz De Jesus Gallery May 2014.
