Reborn Memes for Organ Donation

Belgian non-profit Reborn To Be Alive has raised awareness of the effectiveness of organ donation with “Reborn Memes”, an integrated advertising campaign featuring classic fails. The life-risking stupid behaviour showcased in viral successes provided inspiration for print ads, commercials and crowd sourced online advertisements. “If you are going to do stupid things that will potentially kill you, at least become an organ donor so you can save the lives of others. One donor can save up to 8 lives (by donating up to 8 organs). The brain however can not be donated. And in some cases that’s a good thing.” The Reborn Meme Generator is online at rebornmeme.be.

McDonalds Pay With Loving

McDonald’s in the USA is running “Pay With Loving”, a promotional campaign launched during the 2015 Super Bowl. Following the launch of McDonald’s “Pay with Lovin’” Super Bowl commercial, the company is bringing the idea to life at participating restaurants across the U.S. Customers who enter participating McDonald’s restaurants at randomized, predetermined times between Monday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 14 each day will be selected at random to participate. For instance, breakfast might cost a friendly fist bump to the crew member on duty, lunch could be paid for with a call to a loved one and dinner could go for a compliment. McDonald’s is also encouraging people to share their Lovin’ experiences and join the conversation by following @McDonalds or by visiting McDonalds.com. McDonalds has posted the conditions by which they present the option of a Pay With Loving meal online at mcdonalds.com/pwlrules. Inevitably, responses have been mixed. Being asked to call one’s mother or dance in public has apparently been anxiety-laden for some customers.

FITC Tokyo 2015 Titles

Now in its sixth year, FITC Tokyo 2015 consists of presentations from some of the most interesting and engaging digital creators from all around the world. To commemorate FITC Tokyo’s inaugural title sequence we sought to encapsulate the city itself—distilled to graphic form. Aiming to contrast the harmonies of traditional Japanese culture against the backdrop and sensory overload of present-day Tokyo, we meticulously crafted elegant typographic forms to collide with abrasive, overstimulating glitch—giving way to a progressive journey where moments of extreme chaos fold into temporary tranquility.
