Amnesty International Pens Animated

Amnesty International is running “Pens”, a full CG film shot in motion capture, epitomising the potential of each signature in the defence of human rights. Highlighting that the voice of a single person can bring about the birth of a social movement, the film concludes with the words “your signature is more powerful than you think” and features the song Iron Sky by Paolo Nutini. Through powerful imagery, Amnesty International has encapsulated the essence of its primary objective – inspiring communities to defend their fundamental human rights.

Legwork

“Legwork” is a stylish study of human motion and musically-inspired editing.

Directors Alex Robinson and Daniel Boyle created this small self-initiated project as a love letter to the beautiful game.

The FIFA World Cup is coming to it’s climax in Brazil, and it was the perfect opportunity to mix business and pleasure.
Created using a combination of CGI and traditional handmade animation techniques.

IBM Phones And Food on Vimeo

The interplay of live action and exaggerated device interactions give this spot for IBM a shot of whimsy that separates it from the herd. (And I love the moment at :22, when a smartphone sneakily interrupts a romantic meal.)

What makes tattoos permanent? – Claudia Aguirre

View full lesson: http://ed.ted.com/lessons/what-makes-tattoos-permanent-claudia-aguirre

The earliest recorded tattoo was found on a Peruvian mummy in 6,000 BC. That’s some old ink! And considering humans lose roughly 40,000 skin cells per hour, how do these markings last? Claudia Aguirre details the different methods, machines and macrophages (you’ll see) that go into making tattoos stand the test of time.

INNUENDO

Innuendo (2014) is an animated graduation short about procreation and reproduction. Life itself is inherently obsessed with this ongoing cycle. With our film we want to show that the whole planet, and not just complex organisms, participates in this sensual dance of life. Innuendo is created by five students at the Utrecht School of Arts in the Netherlands. Created over a span of five months of hard work and three months of conceptual preparation. Its a creative exercise in which we’re sketching out a sense of sensuality and fertility without any human imagery using various visual metaphors. The Bumble Bee scenario

The initial idea was intended to a video contest that had as objective to develop a video to an association that fights for the protection of the bees. The slogan was “save the bees”. Unfortunately I was not able to deliver on time the video, I still decided to carry it through as a personal project. The project was developed with C4D and Ae Audio – Sergei Rachmaninov – The Flight Of The Bumble Bee
