Hilarious opening speech. I told him it was the most fun flight I ever took and thank you for going above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and entertained. He threw a cocktail party 1/2 way through the flight as well. What a GEM he was! I will be removing any negative comments about this video. This flight attendant deserves praise and recognition!
Greg McKeown saw first-hand how success can lead straight to professional and personal failure, during his career evaluating and coaching Silicon Valley executives. The heart of the problem, he says, is the insidious idea that we can do it all. As entrepreneurs and executives find success, they’re often overwhelmed by expectations and options, and end up losing the single-minded focus that made them successful in the first place. Taking inspiration from legendary designer Dieter Ram’s philosophy of “less but better”, McKeown outlines an antidote in his book Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, which features practical tips on how to figure out what’s most important, eliminate the trivial, and establish routines for effortless execution. McKeown earned his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA (WBCP EMEA) has inked a multi-year Europe-wide deal with Allegre HKM, the first partner to join the Looney Tunes NBA co-branded licensing programme.
WBCP EMEA EVP & GM Pilar Zulueta said in a statement: “Following the success of the first Looney Tunes Active! and Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA co-branded basketball clinic in London in January, we’re very proud to unveil Allegre HKM as the first partner to join the Looney Tunes NBA co-branded licensing programme. Allegre’s product range brings to life perfectly the logical link between the inherently active Looney Tunes and the NBA in products that are fun and encourage participation in sport and basketball in particular.”
The Shanghai based toy manufacturer is on-board to produce a range of plush that will include puppets, cushions and plush key chains featuring iconic characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Sylvester dressed in NBA team jerseys including the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.
“We’re very excited to be collaborating with Warner Bros. and the NBA on this exciting new initiative that combines the active credentials of the iconic Looney Tunes and NBA brands. We will bring all our product development expertise to bear and we are confident that the program will be a commercial success across the whole of Europe,” added Allegre HKM founder and CEO Eugenio Liu.
WBCP EMEA first announced the multiyear partnership with the NBA at Brand Licensing Europe 2013, in the presence of Warner Bros’ characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and NBA Legend Gary Payton. The collaboration combines the power of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA and Looney Tunes Active! brands to drive interest and encourage participation in basketball amongst children aged 4-to-12 across EMEA.
The evolving consumer products programme will feature apparel, accessories, toys, games and consumables. The merchandise will integrate the popular Looney Tunes characters with the NBA’s branding, and feature Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other Looney Tunes characters in NBA team jerseys.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA (WBCP EMEA) in association with Shooting Stars, its licensing agent for the Middle East, is set to bring ‘Scooby-Doo’ and ‘Tom and Jerry’ to the region with MBC inking a deal to develop live theatrical shows and consumer experiences for the iconic animation brands.
The new deal will see the characters brought to life through ticketed and non-ticketed events in theatres, shopping malls, stadiums and arenas. The two-year agreement covers Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia with the live events that are currently in production, set to debut in Q4 2014.
WBCP EMEA VP of agent markets Francois Simonetta said in a statement: “We’re delighted to be working with MBC on developing live shows and consumer experiences for Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry. As a partner, they reflect our entertainment experience and expertise and we will work together to develop brand enhancing experiences that engender consumer loyalty for our brands and that drive traffic to all MBC platforms.”
The new Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry events will benefit from unprecedented support offered by MBC3, MBC’s children’s edutainment channel and Warner Bros. International Television’s (WBITV) official output partner in the region. Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry are broadcast on MBC3, and they are supported across the interactive MBC3 website that attracts more than 19 million page views per month.
MBC Group CEO Sam Barnett added: “It’s great to work with such fabulous children’s brands and we’re excited to extend our co-operation with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. MBC 3 captures the attention of, informs and entertains so many millions of kids across the region and these live shows will be yet another way to engage with our young audience”.
The new programme of live events also offers the licensees an interesting new opportunity to sell licensed products directly to fans via the official show merchandise outlets that will be present at every show. Retailers based within the shopping malls that will be hosting live events will also benefit from the increased consumer traffic and demand for Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry licensed products from visiting fans.
