We are currently searching for a Digital Double/Creature Modeler to join our Visual Effects team on an exciting new feature film project from a prominent director. Though now a relatively large company, Animal Logic prides itself on providing artists with the opportunity to spread their wings creatively in a collaborative group environment.
Primary Responsibilities in this role:
Building Digital Doubles and/or Creatures using various software packages to the specifications of the Supervisor
Building 3D models which artistically represent the designs while technically meeting the needs of other processes.
Daily communication and updates to the Supervisor and Producer
Experience and Skills:
3 years + experience in a feature film environment
Ability to interpret models from both 3D scans or 2D artwork
Advanced UV skills a must
Experience building models for facial and body deformations
Thorough working knowledge of Maya’s modeling tools, plus Zbrush/Mudbox
Knowledge of supplemental modeling tools or additional packages a plus eg: Cyslice, TopoGun.
Knowledge of Linux beneficial
Fine art skills and design background a plus (sculpture, drawing, Industrial Design)
