Senior Matte painter

· Use animation software (XSI preferred) and painting skills to create hyper-realistic and stylized backgrounds and environments.
· Combine skills in Photoshop and XSI, particularly in modeling, texturing, lighting camera projection techniques to generate 2D or 3D digital environments.
· Organize and manage his work to be able to function in a vfx production pipeline.
· To be able to receive comments and criticisms and communicate well with members of his team.
· Previous experience as a matte painter in a VFX house and/or CG animation house in films.
· Skills in design & photography.
· Extensive knowledge of matte painting techniques; knowledges of 2D and 3D modeling, rendering in 3D software, lighting, motion, etc.
· Advanced knowledge of XSI and Photoshop. Experience with compositing principles is a big plus.
Start date: Immediate.
Type of contract: Full time.
Location: Montreal, Canada.
Salary: Competitive remuneration package depending on experience.
