Image Comics undergoes ‘Evolution’ with a new unpredictable horror series!

Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment are all set to create a new global phenomenon in the comic series Evolution. They have united writers like James Asmus, Joseph Keatinge, Christopher Sebela, and Joshua Williamson with artists Joe Infurnari and Jordan Boyd for creating it.The new unpredictable horror series will be launched with an oversized debut issue this November.

“Society now moves at an exponentially rapid pace. Our technology processes information faster than our biology is capable of handling,” says Keatinge. “Evolution explores what happens when this goes awry when humanity is left behind by its progress, venturing into unexpected, horrifying directions.”

Asmus adds, “If reading this book is anything like writing it, it’ll be a disturbing, thought-provoking and cathartic ride through some very real anxieties about shifting society, what lurks inside us, and realising just how few guard rails there are keeping us safe. But with enough twists, body horror, and murder that keep it fun!”

The synopsis goes like this: Human evolution has taken millions of years to get to the stage it’s reached in Evolution. But next week, we become something new. Around the world, humanity is undergoing rapid and unpredictable changes, and only three individuals seem to notice that their world is being reborn. But what can they do about it?

“Horror is a slippery and weird genre,” says Sebela. “Not everything scares everyone else the same way. But I know what I want out of mine: long tendrils of dread, a fog of doom, deep conspiracies, monsters—especially the human variety—and loss. Evolution’s horror focuses on that sense of loss, one that can be as deadly as a psycho in a mask. Loss of control over our world, our lives and even our bodies, it’s everything we’re always facing but in a much bloodier package.

Evolution #1 will be available in stores on 15 November 2017.

Superman is back in the new poster of Justice League!

Even while we were deliberating about the new poster of the Justice League released earlier this week, there comes another one. And this time, it features the man we were all contemplating about!

Yes, Superman, whose storyline in the upcoming Justice League has kept everyone in the dark, marks his return to the superhero team.

The new Justice League poster

The Man of Steel could be seen levitating at the centre of the poster as the team gears up to take on the might of Steppenwolf and his army of ‘parademons’. Whilst the final scene of Dawn of Justice suggests it was merely a foregone conclusion that the Kryptonian would return, this is the first time that he features in the same frame as the rest of the ‘league’.

So what was a poorly kept secret is finally official. Superman does return. Now all that’s left is to witness it on the big screen!

Are you getting the jitters already?

A Warner Bros. Pictures distribution, Justice League rolls into cinemas on 17 November 2017.

Thor: Ragnarok latest teaser flirts with the return of Doctor Strange

Doctor Stephen Strange did not just fight the skulduggery of Kaecillius and his zealots with his dextrous legerdemains, but also casts an indelible spell on the fans. And almost a year later, the worlds’ greatest sorcerer is set to return to the big screen.

In the latest teaser of the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, Doctor Strange marks his return, supposedly to help Thor and his brother Loki, as suggested in the mid-credits scene of his movie last year. He was seen being approached by the God of Thunder following the epic encounter with Dormammu to aid him in his quest, and the former agreed to it.

Now, Doctor Strange arrives at Asgard where he warns Thor of an uncertain future, saying, “I sense a great change in your future. Destiny has dire plans for you, my friend”. Benedict Cumberbatch’s character is basically prognosticating the havoc that Hela (Cate Blanchett) is about to wreck on his land.

The Goddess of Death will be posing a threat to Thor and his allies unlike anything before, or so we could educe from the teasers so far, and halting her would be a huge ask even for someone of Thor’s stature.

And that’s exactly what the ‘Sorcerer Supreme’ is hinting at.

The fans have been waiting with bated breath to know the role that he would play in Ragnarok and this trailer is the first time that Doctor Strange plays a part in its promotion. So whilst the aficionados can content themselves with this clip for now, we would only know his exact role and the length of it in the movie, once it opens to viewership.

Produced by Marvel Studios, Thor: Ragnarok hits the big screen on 3 November 2017.

REMEMORY was written by Michael Vukadinovich and Mark Palansky and produced by Daniel Bekerman and Lee Clay. The film explores the unexplained death of Gordon Dunn (Martin Donovan), a visionary scientific pioneer whose body is found shortly after the unveiling of his newest work: a device able to extract, record and play a person’s memories. Gordon’s wife, Carolyn (Julia Ormond – Mad Men, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Legends of the Fall), retreats into her house and cuts off contact with the outside world when a mysterious man (Peter Dinklage – Game of Thrones, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Station Agent) shows up. After stealing the machine, he uses it to try and solve the mystery, beginning an investigation of memories that lead him to unexpected and dangerous places.
