Cream

The film takes place in a doctor’s waiting room where soothing music and the opportunity to enjoy an ice cream brings about an alleviating atmosphere. What could possibly go wrong in a healthcare institution where help is nearby? The cold and ugly sides of human nature reveal themselves as the narrative touches on the cycle of birth and death and the absurdity of life. Let’s hope the doctor can help! 1976

1976 meditates on presentiment and sound. The surreal short crafts an unsettling atmosphere of foreshadowing and immanent change. A clever combination of live footage and CGI, the film allows its soundtrack to drive the visuals. Everyday objects reverberate, twist and react to an oncoming pulse of events as they converge on a farmhouse lost in rural America. A film by Aggressive, The Loop & Echoic.

H∆SHTAG$ Season II – #Grime | Red Bull Music Academy

HASHTAGS – Season II
A discussion on internet music phenomena and digital culture

#GrimeWorldwide
Each time that grime seems to have died off, it just comes raging back. Although the genre’s roots lie firmly in early ’00s Britain, predating the internet era, it has evolved into a global force both IRL and URL over the past couple of years. In this episode of Hashtags, we examine the mechanisms at play in grime’s rise in other corners of the world with Wiki and Sporting Life of NYC hip-hop outfit Ratking, Kingdom, the man behind Los Angeles’s Fade To Mind label, Lit City Trax founder J-Cush, Brandon “Jinx” Jenkins of Complex and Amsterdam’s Grimeyard, as well as UK pioneers Rapid of Ruff Sqwad, Mista Jam and Sir Spyro, and journalists Hattie Collins and Annie Mac.

The Red Bull Music Academy is a global music institution committed to fostering creativity in music. We celebrate music, its culture, and the transformative minds behind it. Begun in 1998, the Academy has taken the core principles that underlie its annual workshop for selected participants and applied this curatorial approach to events, lectures, and city-wide festivals throughout the year.

In Search Of The Valley

In Search of the Valley is the story of three friends’ personal journey into the psyche of Silicon Valley. In September of 2004 they swapped London for California, spending one month visiting and talking to many of the valley’s biggest personalities.

Directed by Steve O’Hear, and produced by Fleeta Siegel, the resulting film is a unique interpretation of Silicon Valley, a social fabric that has produced some of the most remarkable technological advances of the 20th Century, and spawned an infectious dichotomy of counterculture and entrepreneurship.
