render farm?

Hi guy i one question when it comes to satellite rendering, what would one need to connect all the comps together how is that done? what hardware is needed for simple render farm at home. Sp basically when one sets up a render farm with lets say 3 comps then those 3 comp will be used by xis to render each frame making the process faster then with one? If i decide to purchase Xsi advance how hard is to sed up simple render farm with 3 pc. Does cinema 4d after effects support satellite rendering?

Thanks

MR. OIZO DOCUMENTARY

picture-2

This new Mr. Oizo documentary not only makes us feel dirty and partially molested but also proves what everyone has always suspected, that  Mr. Oizo is actually a southern accented buxom blonde who ghost writes all the material for a group of studio musicians covered in lettuce and powdered sugar. WE TOLD YOU!

Crossroads Creates Fire For Death Cab for Cutie

[NEWS=”http://www.cgnews.com/wp-content/uploads/cutie_couple_thumb.jpg”]19238[/NEWS]Crossroads’ directorial duo Walter Robot’s dynamic and inventive visual style is the force behind a trio of uniquely inspired music videos for Grammy award-winning recording artists Gnarls Barkley, French-born DJ Vitalic, and Death Cab For Cutie. Grapevine Fires, the must see music video for alternative rockers Death Cab For Cutie, is the ingeniously animated story of a boy in search of his brother amidst a wildfire that decimates his neighborhood. Exr’s and colorspace

I’ve noted how applying a color space node to a shuffle attached to an EXR seems to give me a much darker output then when connected right to the EXR.

I’ve resorted to utilizing LUT’s to define my own color space correction by recreating the gamma correction curve with minor tweaks where needed.

My question is, are the elements within an EXR already set to linear space when you shuffle them out, and why then is the original EXR in a different color space? Perhaps it is my process of outputting EXR’s… if anyone could shed some light on this, It’d be great. The darkness kinda sucks.
