annoying bug?

Has anyone noticed this in nuke 5.1v3?
Whenever i enter a value in the parameters box, when i’m done i click enter or click somewhere in the node space to deselect the box.
But then when I try to toggle my viewer, it enters 1’s into the parameters box and thus setting the value way too high.
I’m on OSX btw

How to start a career in composting

Hello!
I recently graduated with my bachelors degree (digital arts and design ) and I’ve been working as an editor at a 3d studio. I’ve recently been getting interested in comp/fx work but I’m kinda of stuck as to what to do. I’m not sure if going back to college is the best thing for me to do since I’m already in enough debt and I feel like I have a basic understanding of certain things. I know after effects pretty well and have been trying to read all i can about composting/software etc…. As far as software what would most people recommend? Combustion? Fusion? Shake? (maybe there are other ones I just don’t know about)

ANY advice I would appreciate! Thanks!:niceone:

Retrieving result from {scriptName}

Back when I started using Shake I did a plate macro that I now want to upgrade.

Is there any way to get the result from {scriptName}, because if I render the scriptname will be the tmp script. I want to type {scriptName} in a field then get the /Volumes/blabla/blabla/blabla.shk so that I can copy/paste that manually. Or even better, just a button that gets the {scriptname} as plain string.

My macro has text fields like:

SCRIPT:
COMMENTS:
DATE:
Timecode:

Is there a way to make a button of some sort beside the SCRIPT: field that recieves {scriptName} as plain text (string)

Hopefully you understand what I want to do 🙂
